Mona\u2019s meticulously planned allotment of relaxation is thrown into chaos by the unscheduled appearance of her older brother\u2019s band of friends, including the one person she’d hoped to never face again. Abram still makes her feel entirely too much, which is one of the reasons she disappeared after their one week together. But now, trapped on a mountain of snow and things unspoken, Mona will have to find a way to coexist with Abram, chaos and all.<\/span><\/p>\n

O que dizer desse livro? Tantas coisas… Se voc\u00ea leu o primeiro livro, e eu espero que voc\u00ea tenha lido, o in\u00edcio dessa hist\u00f3ria tem um bom salto temporal, ent\u00e3o ficamos com a impress\u00e3o que precisamos conhecer novamente nossos personagens. Como eles amadureceram, o que aquela semana no passado mudou na personalidade deles… Ser\u00e1 que ainda tem chance deles ficarem juntos? S\u00f3 sei que me apaixonei por Mona e Abram novamente! Que personagens maravilhosos! Mona com suas frases doidas, Abram com sua poesia. Amei acompanhar esse redescobrimento dos dois e como Abram lidou com tudo que aconteceu. Se voc\u00ea \u00e9 da Penny, sabe que o livro \u00e9 recheado de personagens ador\u00e1veis, e cheio de passagens que voc\u00ea vai querer marcar, al\u00e9m de n\u00e3o querer soltar depois de come\u00e7ar. Agora \u00e9 esperar pela conclus\u00e3o \u00e9pica dessa hist\u00f3ria!<\/td>\nWhat to say about this book? So many things! First, if you read the first book, and I sure hope you did, there is a good GAP in time between book one and two. So, it’s like we are getting to know those characters again. How did they change? What that end in book one did to then? Is there any chance for them to be a couple? I have to say I fell in love with Abram all over again and Mona has matured so much! I loved to see they dancing around each other and Abram trying to understand all that happened. If you are already a Penny Reid fan, you know this book has a lot of lines you’ll want to highlight, adorkable characters and a story you’ll want to devour from the first page. Now to wait one more month to the epic conclusion!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

\u201cHi\u2014hello,\u201d she said, stepping forward but not out of the way, drawing my attention.<\/span><\/p>\n

She was still staring at me, her face still pale, but her eyes had turned searching instead of stunned.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2014\u201d She stopped herself, swallowing, her gaze dropping to the front of my coat, a cute little frown furrowing her eyebrows. In the next moment, she was pulling off the glove of her right hand. Abruptly, she shoved the ungloved fingers toward me, returning her eyes to mine. \u201cI\u2019m Mona.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I suppressed my disbelief at her small action before it could break my outward mask of calm. I wasn\u2019t calm. Just to be clear, I was the opposite of calm.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fact that she was introducing herself to me now meant that she thought I was too stupid to figure out her lies over the last two-and-a-half-fucking years. She was arguably one of the smartest people in the world, after all. To her, people like me must seem like housebroken pets. So it shouldn\u2019t have surprised me. But it did. The tension and tightness around my ribs reappeared, squeezing uncomfortably.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dropping my attention to her bare hand, I pressed my lips into a tighter line, dismissing the way my pulse jumped at the sight of her wrist, the olive tone of her skin under the yellow string lights overhead. Glaring at her outstretched offering, I considered telling her to go to hell.<\/span><\/p>\n

I considered it, but I wouldn\u2019t.<\/span><\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t trust myself to speak, that was reason number one.<\/span><\/p>\n

The other reason was harder to explain, or use as a justification, or admit to myself. Staring at her hand, I braced against a sudden flare of hunger. She might consider me a lower life-form, but that didn\u2019t change the fact that I wanted to touch her. I wanted to touch her more than I wanted to tell her to go to hell, and that was fucking pitiful.<\/span><\/p>\n

But there it was.<\/span><\/p>\n

Acting on the compulsion, I lifted my right hand and tugged off the ski glove, sliding my warm palm against her much colder one. Her hand felt good in my hand, the right weight, the right size, the right texture, and I inhaled freezing air.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mona also seemed to suck in a slow but expansive breath as our hands touched, held. This brought my eyes back to hers in time to see her lashes flutter. Pink colored her previously pale cheeks. The sound of the wailing wind, the sting of the air and frost momentarily melted away, leaving just her, her soft skin warming against mine, her beautiful face filling my vision.<\/span><\/p>\n

So beautiful<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

She really was. She was stunning. I hated that she was still so beautiful to me.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
