Sabe aqueles autores que voc\u00ea sabe que v\u00e3o te tirar da mesmice e colocar um sorriso no seu rosto? A Lauren \u00e9 esse tipo de autor pra mim. Sei que ela n\u00e3o vai me decepcionar e que suas hist\u00f3rias v\u00e3o sempre me fazer sorrir e sonhar! Todos os seus livros s\u00e3o bem desenvolvidos, com personagens complexos, desde os protagonistas at\u00e9 o personagem mais secund\u00e1rio de todos, voc\u00ea enxerga o carinho que ela colocou em seu desenvolvimento. Once Upon a Real Good Time \u00e9 o mesmo. Sendo o primeiro livro de uma s\u00e9rie, ele tem o papel de apresentar todos os personagens e o faz magistralmente, sem perder o foco no desenvolvimento da hist\u00f3ria central. Eu amei Campbell e Mackenzie desde a primeira p\u00e1gina. Ambos na casa dos 30 anos, bem profissionalmente e com filhos, n\u00e3o temos mimimi ou indecis\u00e3o do que querem da vida. Pelo contr\u00e1rio, sabem muito bem que seus filhos s\u00e3o suas prioridadades e fazem todos os sacrif\u00edcios por sua felicidade. Ali\u00e1s, falando em crian\u00e7as, eles s\u00e3o o ponto forte dessa s\u00e9rie e maravilhosos! Posso gravar um v\u00eddeo cozinhando com a Sam? Mal posso esperar para ler os pr\u00f3ximos dois livros e conhecer mais dos irm\u00e3os Heartbreakers.<\/td>\nDo you know that author you always read when you are on a book funk or need a pick me up? Lauren Blakely is this kind of author to me. I know it’ll not disappoint and will bring a smile to my face. Her books are always funny, emotional and with well developed characters all around, be it the main characters or a doorman, they are well thought and have depth. Once Upon a Real Good Time is no exception. Being a first in a new series, it does a great job in introducing a whole new world. I fell in love with Campbell and Mackenzie from the first page. Both in their 30’s it’s easy to relate and understand where they are coming from. It’s great to see there their kids are their first priority and how they do everything to make them happy. The kids were a great addition to the series and so real! I want to bake with Sam so much! Can’t wait to read the rest of the series and know more about the Heartbreakers brothers!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

I am solely focused on answering the next trivia question. The game emcee spouts it out for the four teams vying for the prize at The Grouchy Owl bar. The prize being bragging rights.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hostess clears her throat, brings the mic to her mouth, and asks the question: \u201cWhich Las Vegas hotel did the bachelor party stay at\u2014\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m perched forward in the chair whispering the answer to my teammate\u2014Caesars, Caesars, Caesars<\/i>\u2014so we can write it on the answer slip before the hostess even finishes.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c\u2014in the 2009 moving\u00a0The Hangover<\/i>?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo easy,\u201d I say to Roxy as she smacks my palm and mouths\u00a0ringer<\/i>\u00a0while filling in the answer.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not a ringer.<\/span><\/p>\n

I was simply fed a steady diet of Trivial Pursuit, trivia books, and endless facts about the world as a kid.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s all.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, I love trivia. Trivia helped me through some tough times as an adult, and by tough, I mean anxiety-ridden, sleepless, and stressful. That kind of tough.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the hostess flips her cards to the next question, the guy on stage\u2014the one I\u2019m not at all checking out\u2014adjusts the amp for his guitar. The Grouchy Owl has a little bit of everything\u2014from darts, to pub quizzes, to pool, to live music from local bands. It\u2019s like a Vegas hotel right here in the West Village. Big Ike doesn\u2019t want patrons to leave, so she makes sure the entertainment options are plentiful.<\/span><\/p>\n

And if that handsome hottie stays on the stage, I won\u2019t want to head home for a long, long time. Except that I\u2019ll have to. I\u2019m Cinderella, and I turn into a pumpkin in minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

But for now\u2026Hello, nice view<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the guy turns the knob on the amp, his brown hair flops over his eyes. He flicks it off his forehead with a quick snap then runs his fingers down the strings on his guitar. Those fingers fly.<\/span><\/p>\n

I bet they\u2019d fly other places too.<\/span><\/p>\n
